Japandi Live Edge Elm Floating Shelf - Carsin

Sale price$119.99

A long floating wall shelf cut from reclaimed elm, with a natural irregular front edge that shows the shape of the tree. Knots, small cracks and grain variations are left visible, so every shelf is one of a kind. The bracket is hidden inside the wood, so the shelf seems to float on the wall.

Why we picked it

Carsin brings a touch of wabi-sabi to the wall: the front edge follows the natural shape of the tree, and the knots and cracks of the reclaimed elm are left as they are. That respect for imperfect, natural materials is at the heart of Japandi. With the bracket hidden inside the wood, you only see a warm, simple line of timber, ready for a few books, a vase and a plant.
